Burda Moden Salon was established in 1991. The company currently operates a chain of stores, including brands such as Marc O’Polo, McGregor, Gant, Gray & White and others.
The challenge
Since 2015, with Lithuania’s introduction of the euro, all retail and service companies needed to upgrade their systems to work with the new currency. This has led to the change from old to new software that is appropriate for economic policy in the country.

StrongPoint offered to upgrade the entire package of solutions from the implementation of the accounting system to the POS hardware. Since then, active cooperation between companies has begun.
A decision was made to improve the business management system Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which was implemented 15 years ago. It was decided to try a different installation model of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The analysis work required for setting work deadlines and allocating human resources has been refused. Such a work concept is risky because by refusing the analysis, only preliminary estimations of the system implementation works are performed. The challenge has been faced, how to properly plan the workflow and not delay the software and hardware upgrade process.

The solution
First of all, the POS hardware was renewed – StrongPoint installed PartnerTech PT-6315. These POS terminals feature a compact and elegant design that is perfect for Burda Moden salonas. The company also acquired Verifone Vx805 EMV pin pads, which were integrated into the POS systems. Moreover, StrongPoint offered specialized products such as QuickScan I Lite barcode scanners that are suitable for both checkout and warehouse inventory accounting operations. Using them reduced the likelihood of errors when entering goods into the system.
AgoRetail software has been installed, which can efficiently perform the functions of supply, pricing, sales, promotions and discounts. The standard software package includes tools for centralized management and data transfer. The product architecture has been modified to meet customer needs for inventory management. Currently, store employees can see the quantities of items in other stores. Thanks to the AgoRetail software, the company can offer its customers exclusive offers and discounts. By participating in the loyalty program, loyalty points are accrued as of the personal discount increases.
Since 2015, the company started with an updated Microsoft Dynamics NAV. More efficient management and control of centralized store business processes were observed. The decision to refuse the analysis works paid off. Burda Moden Salonas cooperated in good faith with StrongPoint and trusted in the quality of services provided, which led to effective work results.
